Parrys is a main commercial area located in Central Chennai. There is a famous Imambada cum Masjid, which is called as "Mehfil e Khuddamul Maasumeen (as)". On every 8th of Muharram a procession is taken out in the streets of Parrys. Currently only Jumma Namaaz is performed ba Jamaat (congregational prayer) here. The Youths of Parrys are very active in religious activities, every Friday one momin brother leaves a question and by the next Friday people come up with its reply, and its into practice since years, the same method is carried out everyday in Ramadhan. One can notice amazing hospitality during Ramadhan Iftaar here. The Momineen of Parrys are famous for their active participation in various Social and Religious gatherings happenning all over Chennai.
